Plasmopara viticola, or Downy Mildew appears on vine leaves as a pale oily spot on the outer face of a leaf. Later with the right growing conditions a white powdery spor growth appears on the underside of the leaf. Plasmopara viticola is a potentially dedevasting disease of grape vines, rapidly spreading to developing bunches.
